This is also necessary for avoiding muscle tears whilst improving on muscular endurance. This is a great way to improve your cardiovascular health whilst tapping into your fast twitch fibres, which all pro/aspiring footballers/athletes must do. You don’t want to hinder your fast twitch fibres, you have to use them. The energy you will burn & the intensity of your work will reap better results than constantly walking/jogging or stepping up a stepper. Don’t waste all your time doing long duration cardio, taking 30-40 mins at a time. Switch it up & include interval sprints. Why should you do sprint interval training? 🏃🏽♀️ Sprinting has been linked to several health benefits such as improved cardiovascular health and mental well-being. The explosiveness of sprints helps build muscles, particularly in the legs, glutes, and core, and improves performance and athleticism. Also sprints are highly time efficient as they involve short moments of very high intensity, which is great for people with a busy schedule who want to stay fit. For me personally, it is a great add-on next to my calisthenics to work my heart and stay athletic. If you are new to sprinting, I advise you to begin with fewer sets and at a slower pace to avoid injuries, as sprinting is exhausting for the body.
