How to prep for an interview in under 1 hour ✅ Send yourself this post so you don’t lose it. 1️⃣ (10 min) Do a gap analysis: Copy the job description from the advert and paste into a google doc. Form there highlights the bullet points you have (blue) vs don’t have (red) from the job description. Under each one of the ones you have, add examples when you showed those skills (ex: managed an event). For the ones you don’t have, add anything that could complement that skill. 2️⃣ (10 min) Research the company: Don’t just skim the website - dig deeper. Use ChatGPT or Perplexity with a prompt like: “I’m interviewing for [Company] for a [Role]. Tell me everything I need to know for the interview. What are the top priorities and challenges for [Company] in 2025?” Look for product launches, leadership updates, recent news, and how they make money. Show you understand their world. 3️⃣(10 min) Find the likely questions: Head to Glassdoor and look for real interview questions from that company. Then put together in a doc the 10 most common behavioral questions to start preparing for them (like: Tell me about a time you failed). Pro tip: Don’t memorize - just prepare one story you can flex across a few questions. 4️⃣ (20 min) Practice your answers: For behavioral interview questions use STARL: Situation, Task, Action, Result - and what you Learned. To prepare, use tools like Google Interview Warmup or ChatGPT to test your answers. Prompt idea: “Give me feedback on this answer using the STARL method. Here’s the question and here’s my answer…” 5️⃣ (10 min) Prep 3–5 smart questions to ask them: Asking food questions is key. Aim for: 2 role-specific (show you understand the day-to-day). 2 company-specific (prove you did your research). This is your chance to show you’re not just job hunting - you’re intentional. You got this 💪 🔥If you want a cheat sheet to prepare for interviews, just comment INTERVIEW below 😉 #jobapplication #jobsearch #jobhunt #jobopportunity #interviewtips #interviewquestions #interviewprep #interview #bigtech #jobseeker

Never say no when the interviewer asks, "Do you have any questions for me?" Questions show you’ve done your homework. Asking the right questions gives you an opportunity to understand the job better and to reiterate your experience. Good questions explore culture, growth, and impact. Employers respect candidates who interview them back. Smart questions = stronger first impression. Here are the 3 questions worth asking at an interview 1. What are some of the biggest challenges the team is facing right now, and how would this role help to address them? *When you understand the challenges the team is facing, you can reinforce skills as a solution. 2. What do top performers in this role do differently *When you understand what it takes to succeed in the role, you can highlight moments in your experience that add value. 3. What resources are available to support employees during times of high workload? *This question gives you an idea of the company cultural especially when it comes to handling stress and burnout. 👩🏼‍💻When you’re preparing for your job interviews you need to tailor your strengths to the job that you’re applying to and prepare stories that illustrate each strength. ⬇️Here are 6 great strengths to use in your next job interview 1️⃣ ❌Instead of saying “I have a high attention to detail” ✅ Say, “I am intrinsically motivated” Tell a story about a time that you took on a project proactively. 2️⃣❌ Don’t say, “I have good communication skills” ✅Instead talk about your leadership skills and give an example of a time you resolved a conflict. 3️⃣❌Instead of saying that you’re organized, ✅ Say that you’re proactive. Tell me about a time that you planned and implemented something. 4️⃣❌Say you are creative or better yet that you think outside the box. 5️⃣❌ Don’t just tell them that you are determined. ✅Tell a story about a difficult time and how you presevered. Don’t tell me you have grit, show me! 6️⃣❌ Do NOT say that you are “a good team player” because we have heard that a million times. ✅ Instead talk about your high emotional intelligence, give me examples of times that you cared for your employees and clients. Everyone is using AI for interview prep. But most people are using it like Google. Just researching the company, reading answers in their head… That’s not what actually helps you perform in the interview. What actually works? 👉 Simulating the interview before you walk in. Here’s exactly how I’d do it: 1. Give AI full context + turn it into your interviewer Drop your resume + job description into Claude / Copilot Then literally tell it: “Act as my interviewer for this role and ask me questions live.” Turn on voice mode. 2. Now instead of typing… you’re actually having the interview. Answer questions in real-time and ask it to give you feedback after each one: → What did I do well? → What can I improve? → How can I make this more specific? Treat it like a real interview (not practice in your head) Don’t pause. Don’t overthink. Just respond. This is where most people struggle, because they’ve never actually said their answers out loud. The goal here is pressure + clarity. 3. Record yourself while you do this Set up your camera and record your responses. Watch it back and look for things you wouldn’t normally notice: → Are you rambling? → Are you confident or hesitant? → What’s your body language like? → Are you fidgeting or distracted? 4. Then combine: AI feedback + what you observe yourself And practice again. Do this a few times and something shifts: -You stop feeling “prepared” and start feeling comfortable. Because now the interview isn’t new anymore — it’s familiar. And that’s what actually makes you show up confident. If this is helpful, ✅ follow @saraswatritika for more such tips!!! So what is it so you don’t find yourself “not successful” again? This is the 3 point check and it’s how I prepare my students and clients to show up with confidence: 1️⃣ Do your homework! Research the company, the role, and the people interviewing you. Understand their mission, values, and what they actually do so you can speak their language. Bonus points for learning where their business name came from 😉 2️⃣ Have your stories ready. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure examples of times you’ve solved problems, worked under pressure, or achieved something you’re proud of. This turns vague answers into memorable ones. If you’re a student with no real work experience, take an example from school. Maybe it was a tough team project gone wrong - use it! 3️⃣ Own the room. 📸 Confident body language is non-negotiable. Sit tall, maintain steady eye contact with each interviewer, and treat it like a conversation, not an interrogation. These are just a few of the skills I teach in School of Life workshops and in my online video library, from how to make a strong first impression to navigating workplace etiquette. Want to make sure you (or your students) are interview ready? Email [email protected] or head to the link in my bio to book a workshop or purchase the full online library today.
