Developing your intuition is a practice that gets better over time. The way you know that it’s intuition is: ✨ a calm voice comes from your gut ✨ the information is gentle, it whispers ✨ there is a certainty, a knowing that comes with it ✨ it feels right in your heart, even if your head doesn’t understand When you pay attention to your very initial feelings about a situation, you are tapping into your intuition. The head will then come in and persuade you with logic. While logic is a necessary intelligence to use, it’s not the only intelligence. When you tap into your heart and gut you are closer to intuitive guidance! Peace always follows after an intuitive hit is trusted. Has anyone ever told you “just trust your gut” and you’re like WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS THAT?! I feel you! That used to be me. My biggest recommendation for connecting with your intuition is slowing down and getting your energy and your nervous system to a relaxed place. Connecting with your intuition is not about searching, grasping, or reaching for an answer. That’s force energy. That’s energy of the mind. Connecting with intuition is about patiently listening for the message to come to you. It’s about surrendering, trusting, and patiently allowing for whatever wants to arise to arise. It’s really hard to connect with your intuition when your energy is frenetic and noisy because your intuition is really quite subtle. I spent so much time looking outside of myself for a new job, for a partner to show up and save me, for more money to feel like I’m validated in some way. Nothing outside of you is going to make you feel better until you realize that ultimately you need to start by loving yourself first. And it is not something that happens overnight.
