Wait till someone from Belfast says: “What’s the craic?” (No, they’re not asking about drugs — it means “What’s up?”) Here’s what makes the Northern Irish accent stand out: – Fast, sharp, musical. They don’t speak — they fire words at you, like bullets with a smile. – Vowels go wild. “Now” becomes “nigh”, “How” = “hoy”, “About” sounds like “abait.” You’re not mishearing — it really sounds like that. – Rolling rhythm. It’s not flat or soft — it bounces. Like poetry with a boxing glove. – Sass built-in.
