Colleges will look for evidence of your character traits (basically, who you are) across your application, including: 🌟 The personal statement 🌟 Supplemental essays 🌟 Letters of recommendation And… You might be surprised that your extracurriculars 🌟 are super important when it comes to demonstrating character! For example, conducting a research project tells me you’re likely curious, detail-oriented, and resilient (research is hard!) ✅ Selling your artwork on Etsy to raise money for your local art museum tells me you’re probably creative, entrepreneurial, and generous. ✅ 🌟 Younger students, think carefully about your extracurriculars and how you might show off your key strengths using independent projects and making an impact in your community 🌟 And seniors, don’t phone it in when it comes to filling out your activities list!
