Please meet our International Chair, Erin Chivello. Erin has worked tirelessly (with the guidance of Rotarian Jay McLaughlin) over the past few years, obtaining international projects and grants to give back in communities that need blessings the most. This past week, Erin, along with 3 other Rotarians, traveled to San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico, to build a Water Store “Aqua de Vida.” The Rotary grant obtained was used to purchase equipment to build a reverse osmosis system so that the civilians can have safe drinking water. Not only did the Rotarians get the Water Store in working order, and painted, but they went back to the place where they built casitas last year, and were able to admire the improvements made… ending their efforts with a dedication to the people, and their community. They even shared the first glasses of fresh water at the Casitas and with the people of Topahue, and enjoyed amazing Pazole and a dessert. ❤️ In this reel, Pastor Pedro and his wife Pastora Nydia, express their appreciation with kind words for the Rotarians! Their gratitude extended for all the people of Topahue, for this new water store, and the impact it will have for the entire community. 💧💧💧 Erin said, “Our work this trip is complete, but our love for this project will remain here forever.” Everyone deserves drinking water. Thank you again to district 5160 and surrounding, for funding this grant.
