The average income of a Jain household is 2.5X the national average... and they have the highest percentage of people above the age of 70 across religious communities, which means they live longer than the average Indian 👉🏻 The first is the focus on Education: Overall Jain literacy is ~95% with over 34% of Jains being graduates or above, which is the highest among any religious communities... which is almost 4X the national average of ~9% (Pew 2021) 👉🏻 The second is being present physically at the location where money flows and changes hands: Almost 80% of the Jains live in urban areas (ISJS)... Mostly concentrated around Maharashtra and Gujarat, which are states that practically contribute the most to India’s trade and GDP 👉🏻 The third is working within the community: The mindset of when the community works together, everyone makes more money because of trust and social pressure of not cheating anyone in the community.
