📍 Put Hijiribashi Bridge into your Google Maps right now! This famous spot, close to both Ochanomizu and Shin-Ochanomizu Station, is well-known in the train spotting community. If you walk past you’re likely going to see a few people patiently waiting, camera in hand, for the perfect moment. If you’re extra lucky (and patience is key) you’ll see three train lines beautifully intersecting (Marunouchi Line, Chuo Line and Sobu Line), with Tokyo and Kanda River serving as the stunning backdrop. If you’re extra lucky, you’ll see a few special trains too. Ochanomizu is a fantastic little spot not frequently travelled by tourists. It’s also known as Tokyo’s ‘Music Town’ thanks to the 50+ musical instrument stores lining the main road. If you’re a music lover (and/or) a train lover, take a detour to Ochanomizu. By the way, if you understand a little Japanese then yes, the name literally means ‘Tea Water.’ It’s said that water from this neighborhood was used to make tea for a shogun in the Edo period, and the name stuck! We have a whole article on train photography spots in Tokyo, so jump on our website, pin the locations and get shooting 📸 #ochanomizu #hijiribashi #trainspotting #trainphotography #denshaotaku

Kandagawa,Tokyo / 神田川 東京 . If you want to avoid crowd but also want to go to somewhere where is similar to Megurogawa. Kandagawa is a GREAT alternative❗️❗️ . This place look super similar to Megurogawa’s Sakura (just not the fancy cafe on the side or pink light up at night! Oh, and the Sakura Champagne🤣) . You can find a long roll of Sakura along the Kanda River. The Sakura street is quite long here. I was walking and taking some shots at the same time for half an hour, and I still can’t see the ending of this Sakura street.😱 . It is so peaceful and quiet here. Last year I went were mostly local people. There is a small park along the river closer to Edogawabashi side, so it’s definitely kids and pets friendly! . The sakura street extends from Edogawabashi station to Omokagebashi station. Once you get off from the station, just walks toward Kanda river and you will find this beautiful sakura spot. .

📍Tokyo, Japan The cherry blossoms on the Kanda River will be in full bloom in a little while🥰🌸 Today was Vernal Equinox Day, a national holiday❣️ Japanese people eat Botamochi on March 21 🍡✨ Botamochi, also called ohagi, is a food made of glutinous rice wrapped in red bean paste. I used to love botamochi made by my grandma:❤️ I don't have a grandma anymore, but I will always remember this delicious taste...✨ 神田川の桜ももう少しで満開です🥰🌸 今日は春分の日という国民の祝日でした❣️ 日本人は3月21日にぼた餅を食べます🍡✨ ぼた餅はおはぎとも呼ばれていますが、餅米を餡子で包んだ食べ物です。 私はおばあちゃんの作るぼた餅が大好きでした❤️ 今はもうおばあちゃんはいないけど、いつまでも覚えているはずの、美味しい味。 #Japan #Asakusa #Waseda #Kandagawa #Sakura #Tokyo
