A simple life is under rated. Sometimes the noise of the world takes our attention away from what truly brings us happiness and contentment. I’ve learnt that having a simple life, low expectations and living within your means is actually incredibly fulfilling. When you constantly chase more, you starve yourself the opportunity to be grateful for what you currently have, even if it’s not much. Find beauty in simplicity. It’s a lot cheaper, easier and peaceful.

✨ Underconsumption core (aka... just living a simple life). It’s not about trendy gadgets, big hauls, or constantly upgrading. Just little things like: 🤍 Naked nails and an old cosy blanket I still love 🍞 Baking bread on slow weekends 🧴 Actually using things up, down to the last drop 📚 borrowing books from the library instead of buying new ones 💇 Cutting our own hair (it works, and honestly, it’s kind of nice). None of this feels like missing out. It feels like enough. There’s something really peaceful about not always chasing more. There’s something freeing about saying “this is good”, even if it’s old, thrifted or a little mismatched. This slower, simpler way of life isn’t always perfect or aesthetically pleasing. But it feels honest. Soft. Real. It’s like a stress-free, normal life where you can breathe a little deeper. To me, this is slow living. It’s simple living, built around ease instead of pressure. It’s budget-friendly, kind to the planet and even kinder to my nervous system. It’s a minimalist lifestyle that’s more about intention than “less”. You don’t need more to feel better.
