This was kettl tea in Brooklyn, NY! I was so excited to visit this place because I have heard soo many good things! I absolutely loved the aesthetic they have inside this location. They also had a stone mill that was churning by itself and it was very cool to see in person! They had beautiful chawans, other ceramics, whisks, and a bunch of different matcha blends from their brand. I ordered the Shirakawa matcha latte ($8.50). The Shirakawa matcha latte is the most expensive option. It's described to be rich and umami. It comes unsweetened, so I asked to add a bit of sweetener and they let me put in as much as i needed. (I dont use much sweetener). I will say, there were definitely some chunks in my drink, so maybe they didn't whisk so thoroughly but the place was insanely packed so I am not going to complain. Matcha butter cookie ($5.00). I LOVED THIS COOKIE. of course it was a bit expensive but it was sooo good. Do rich in matcha flavor and the green was GREEN. It wasn:t like a light, yellow green. It was a deep green. I wish i bought more than 1 😔 Anyways, if you ever get the chance I really recommend you check out this place! 📍Kettl, LA I am SO glad @hungryorsnacky found out that @kettltea did matcha tastings so we could snag a spot for our day out 🫶🍵We got the most expensive tasting for 2 at $35(ish) each which made so much sense because the single cultivars are much more expensive than blends. The cheapest one they offer is $28 I believe! Ngl the matcha and hojicha chocolate was a huge bonus for us because it was such high quality matcha in the chocolate 😂 The single cultivar tastes were all very deep and umami, ranging from oceanic to vegetal.
