If you’re new to kettlebells, here’s and approachable workout for you to try 💪🏻🧨 Everyday I get messages asking “where do I start with kettlebells?” My answer is almost always to incorporate them in your current workouts. To do this, substitute a kettlebell movement in for some of the exercises, like: Barbell back squat 👉 kettlebell goblet squat Dumbbell overhead 👉 kettlebell overhead press Barbell RDL 👉 kettlebell RDL You get the point. It really doesn’t need to be complicated and you don’t need to start with any kettlebell specific movements. The biggest thing is learn how it feels to workout with a kettlebell, that will make the rest easier to learn. Explosive Power Kettlebell Swing w/ Bands ⚡️ We’re using accommodated resistance with a band to force compensatory acceleration through the entire range of motion. 👉 The band also creates an overspeed eccentric, pulling the kettlebell down faster and loading the stretch-shortening cycle, so you can rebound with more speed and force. What this means for you: • More force output at every point of the swing. • Faster stretch = quicker contraction. • Greater power + reactive strength when performed correctly. How to set it up: • Pick a kettlebell that challenges you without slowing speed. • Use a band with good tension at the top and some at the bottom—but not so much that it breaks your form. Every now and then, I’ll see comments like: “Put down the sissy kettlebells and pick up a barbell like a real man.” Here’s the thing, my mission isn’t to prove kettlebells are “better” than barbells. My mission is to show people how to get in the best shape of their life with minimal space, minimal equipment, and maximum results. Not everyone has access to a full gym. Not everyone wants to wait in line for machines or invest in racks, plates, and bars. But just about anyone can clear a small space in their garage, living room, or backyard and start training. With nothing more than a kettlebell, you can build strength, muscle, conditioning, and athleticism. You can torch fat, improve mobility, and unlock movements most barbell-only lifters can’t touch. This page is about freedom and efficiency, showing that you don’t need a warehouse of equipment to transform your body. You need knowledge, intensity, consistency, and the right tools. Here’s some more tips👇 Comment down below if you’re doing this workout! 💪 I loved doing this workout, I always find the rotational movements way more fun! HOWEVER remember, if you are looking to build strength from home with KBs, make sure to focus most of your workouts on the compound movements (Squats, deadlifts, rows, presses etc), these rotational moves are great to add in for some new variation! For this workout, the structure means the workout gets progressively harder up the ladder and then softens as you go down the ladder again: So you do a total of 10 reps of each movement (half and half each side), and then you do 15 reps total of each movement, then 20 etc etc until the ladder is complete! Make sure to save this for your next workout!
