Eighteen-year-old Kimber Mills was known for her kindness — the type of person who never hesitated to help someone else. Even in death, her kindness lives on. Mills may have passed away Tuesday when she was taken off life support, but her story doesn’t end there. Instead, it begins again - in the hearts, lungs and lives of others. Kimber Mills, who was shot Sunday during a bonfire party in a wooded area of Pinson commonly known as “The Pit," gave the gift of life Tuesday night through the donation of her organs. Her sister tells WVTM 13 that her heart was donated to a 7-year-old.
