Doing the ol’ switcheroo on this hat I made a classic (for me) mistake of pairing the wrong yarn with a pattern. The original hat was a take on the Manhattan Hat knitting pattern, but the yarn I knit it in was just too soft and it couldn’t hold up the shape. Snip, rip, back on the needles and I changed up the decreases so the hat would sit right on my head and not go flopping off the back. I really simplified this hat by splitting the stitches into 4 quarters and doing central double decreases every other row till it was done. Easy peasy. #knitters #knittingpattern #hatknitting

Guess how long it took to knit the beanie? ⏳ Sometimes I feel fast while knitting and sometimes slow like a snail 🐌 That’s exactly why I took the opportunity to run a stopwatch at the same time for this hat.
