The LOLLIPOP SCRUNCHIE tutorial 🩷 (this is my first ever tutorial, so please give it some love! 🤭) Materials: Ballerina Chunky Mohair by Sandnes Garn (or any other chunky mohair yarn) 8mm (40cm) / US11 (16in) needles 6mm (US10h) crochet hook Seamless hair tie - the one with the seam might break inside your knitted scrunchie someday! Stitch marker Scissors Tapestry needle Instructions: Cast on 61 sts (including one for joining to knit in the round). Don’t ovetighthen. Join to knit in the round, place a stitch marker, knit 23 rounds. Bind off - again mind your tension. You want your bind off edge to be about the same length as your cast on edge. Otherwise your scrunchie might come out deformed. Leave about 15cm (6in) yarn tail and break the yarn. Connect your bind off edge with a tapestry needle. Turn the knitting inside out, fold it and place a hair tie over it. Tie two yarn tails together - this will be the starting point for the crocheted edge. With wrong sides facing, connect the cast-on and the bind-of edges using a 6mm (US10) crochet hook in a Slip Stitch Seam. You can use any other technique if you’re not comfortable with crocheting, but this one is my favorite. Hide the yarn tails before finishing, finish the crocheted edge and weave in the end(s).
