I designed this top-down, seamless, circular-yoke pattern to be size-inclusive, and it features a range of sizes to fit full-chest circumferences from 30” (76 cm) to 66” (167.5 cm). 🤗 • Designed with super bulky yarn and short sleeves, it makes for such a satisfying knit with the comfiest, coziest result. Quicknit combines a mix of bold, contrasting colors and a small section of colorwork in the yoke for an eye-catching look. This sweater was created to have a simple construction and easy stitches to help it fly off your needles. I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d told me it was this easy… In fact, when I first used this technique for the neck of my Cardiff Jumper I thought I’d invented a really basic version of doing this. With time I learnt a much more fiddly way - which is what I used in the Sami Slipover pattern. It took my lovely tester @lea_ambar_knits telling me she had used this version for me to accept it as a legitimate technique. So I wanted to share it here with you as an alternative way of making the false casing neck detail. I would just add that I do find this method doesn’t give quite as deep a ridge line as the method where you pick up from the stitch below but my sister who’s done a pre- test of this sweater and who has also knit the Sami Slipover says she can’t tell the difference so I definitely think there is a space for both in my repertoire! I'm absolutely delighted with my Toast vest dupe - it turned out amazing! ❤️ Sorry, not sorry, for flooding your stories with updates on this project 😂 My original plan involved a button closure, but I decided to play it safe and make a vest/top instead. For the Polo T-shirt and the Soft Season Cardigan, I used a construction totally new to me, and I love it. It has the comfort of a drop shoulder design but tailored for a perfect fit.
