Ditch the backwards loop method 👋 This slipknot cast on gives you a neater, tighter edge — perfect for underarm & neckline stitches where structure matters. Clean, secure, and way less fiddly to work into later 🧶 Save this for your next project ✨ #knittingtips #knittingtutorial #garmentknitting #knitweardesign #knittersofinstagram

#knittingtutorial #tricotdebutante #tricotlovers #tricotdebutant #castonstitch

Upon request, here’s a repost of how to knit and purl through the back loop (ktbl & ptbl)

Knitting 101 The Magic Loop **EDIT: This is actually traveling loop - magic loop is a slightly different technique but they’re used for the same purpose!** #knitpicksambassador #fiberart #knitting #knittingtutorial @Knit Picks

Seeing videos of people using all these methods to memorise knitting increases and how they lean, and I’m just wondering if anyone has tried just looking at the stitch? 😂 I’m being very simplistic here and referring to the stitch I’m working in the video which is a make one left and right leaning I can see if I’ve lifted my stitch wrong because it’ll leave a big gaping hole when I work it? On a raglan I just remember if I need to lean ‘away’ from the centre stitch or ‘towards’ it. It’s also a great technique for learning how to read your stitches. I usually find some of the rhyming and visual cues suggested more confusing. 🫤 Anyway I am actually curious about how we’re remembering our increases? #knit #knitwear #knittingtechnique #knitter #knitting

This is so much easier than frogging! 🐸 This is a super versatile fix for so many different mistakes - I’ve used it on everything from split stitches like these to colourwork to cables (and lace, though that one isn’t for the faint of heart). You can unravel multiple stitches at a time if you’re dealing with a larger mistake, but it’s good to try it on a smaller issue at first just to get the feel for it. I’m fixing Hayst in this video, a new summer top I’m working on. The pattern is in the final tweaking stage, so I’ll be looking for test knitters soon - if you’re interested, subscribe to the newsletter at the link in my bio and you’ll be the first to know about the test ♥️ #knitweardesigner #knittingtechniques #summerknits #summerknitwear #knittop

Ever since I discovered magic loop, I haven’t picked up my DPNs or small circular needles 🫢 Magic loop has single-handedly replaced them! With just one long circular needle (I love a 40” needle) I can knit both small and large circumferences and everything in between. One needle can cover any sized knitting project! Magic loop is amazing because it: ✅ Saves money. (You just need one needle!) ✅ Is more comfortable to knit with ✅ Gets rid of the need for DPNs (for me this a plus. I know some people enjoy DPN knitting) 🤓 For my full YouTube tutorial, check the link in my profile! #knitstagram #knitting #knitspo #knits #handknit #knitting #knitters #knittersofinstagram #knitknitknit #knitspiration #knitwear #instaknit #handmade #knittersofravelry #tricot #strik #magicloop #knittingtips

How to knit magic loop avoiding the laddering effect of loose stitches at the sides✨ Essentially, you will be moving the last knitted stitch over to the next needle every turn. That way the gap between the stitches on the two needles will shift position every row and you’ll end up with smooth even knitting🥰 Hope this helps!🌸 • • • #knitting #knit #knitter #knittingtips #knittinghelp #strikketips #strikk #strik #stricken #tricot #strikking #knitlove #knitspo #knitspiration #knittingreel #knittersofinstagram #cumulustee #knittinghacks #magicloop #nordicknitting #knitknitknit #onmyneedles #knittingtutorial #magiclooptutorial #strikkedilla #strikke #summerknitting #yarn #garn

i just discovered the twisted rib on my current project and am loving how tidy my lil rows are🩷 coming soon, purling through the back loop to complete the rib⭐️ #knittingtips #handknit #knitterofinstagram

My all time favorite way to join yarn. There are so many methods out there, but I went with the craziest one. The twist and weave. It may look a bit unusual at first, but once you try it, it just makes sense. Give it a few tries, and it might become your favorite too 😊 Tip for beginners: add new yarn in less noticeable places like raglan lines or the sides, not in the middle of the project.
