almost everything i knit (excluding some accessories & gifted items) !! this is definitely the most i’ve knit in a year and i’ve learned sooo much about technique, fiber, my own preferences when it comes to knitting, etc this year!

I almost doubled my knitting from 2024 to 2025. Want to know how? Here are the 5 shifts that changed everything: 1️⃣ I organized my cast-on-itis Cleaned up my Ravelry queue, kept only patterns I have yarn for, and moved the rest to my wishlist. Big pattern queue? Pick the 10 you can’t stop thinking about. Big stash? Choose the yarns that spark the “must cast on now” feeling and match them to a project. 2️⃣ I became a polyamorous knitter I rotate about 8 WIPs without overwhelm. Ambitious mood = lace/cables. Tired after work = stockinette. More variety = more chances to knit. If that’s too much, try 2–3 WIPs! 3️⃣ I enhanced my stash Bought yarn I’ll love for years, classic, wearable, long-lasting yarns. Huge stash? Pull out a few “exciting” skeins and keep them visible. (Also… practice moth safety!) 4️⃣ I let myself be flexible If a project no longer excites me, I change plans, no guilt. If new yarn or a new pattern sparks joy, I add it to my list. 5️⃣ I joined the knitting community KALs and buddy knits kept me motivated and made knitting even more fun.
