The whole process is as follows: Each piece starts with two layers of felt, laminated together to create a custom two-tone material. From there, I design the patterns in Adobe Illustrator and cut them using my xTool laser cutter…. no 3D modeling, no automation beyond that point. Every layer is then carefully glued by hand, assembled, and set. Once dried, the work is framed in acrylic and mounted as a finished felt wall sculpture.
