How does ChatGPT work anyway? Part 1 of a deep(er) dive on how large language models work from a technical perspective. Somewhere in between “knowing it’s a next token predictor” and “taking a machine learning class” :) And I recommend these Medium posts from Mark Riedl: A Very Gentle Introduction to Large Language Models without the Hype (14 April 2023) / The Intuition Behind How Large Language Models Work, Part I (6 August 2025) / The Intuition Behind How Large Language Models Work, Part II (13 August 2025)

How does ChatGPT talk like a human? It doesn’t actually understand language. It predicts the next most probable word — trained on massive amounts of text data. That’s the power of Large Language Models. #LLM #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #GenerativeAI #AIExplained

Wait, AI doesn’t actually read words? 🤯 Instead of reading a dictionary, Large Language Models like ChatGPT use something called 'Tokens.' Think of them as a hyper-efficient abstraction of human language that lets AI process entire books in seconds! How does an LLM (like ChatGPT) work anyway? Part 2 of a deep(er) dive on how large language models work from a technical perspective. If these are a next token predictor, then how do they predict? What does the AI training process look like? Featuring self supervised learning! See part 1 for the start of this and for references to readings for you to dig in more!

I got tired of Anthropic eating their lunch, so OpenAI finally dropped Skills in ChatGPT. Here's what this means for you. Skills were something Anthropic created last year, and they're almost exactly like Custom GPTs. They can have preset instructions and knowledge files. But here's where it gets good - they had the added benefit of actually taking actions for you. Think calling an API. Which means your ChatGPT doesn't just follow instructions and reference your knowledge files anymore. It can actually DO things on your behalf in third-party tools if you build that into the skill. And here's the best part: there are already libraries with over 30,000 skills available. You can import them directly into your ChatGPT instance and start using them immediately. To find this in your ChatGPT: Go into your settings Look for the new "Skills" section You can create a skill using the built-in skill creator Or upload a zip file directly and use it right away This is what competition in the AI space looks like. And we all win when these companies are pushing each other to ship better features. Have you tried Skills yet? #ai #chatgpt #aiconsulting #artificialintelligence #openai

Behind tools like ChatGPT is a Large Language Model (LLM). It’s trained on massive text data and learns patterns in language — that’s how it can generate answers, ideas, and content. Understanding LLMs is the foundation of modern AI. Day 22 / 90 of Agentic AI. Comment “LLM” if this clicked for you 🧠🚀

What is ChatGPT? ChatGPT is an AI chatbot created by OpenAI. It is designed to understand human language and respond in a natural, conversational way. ⸻ 1️⃣ What does ChatGPT do? ChatGPT can: • Answer questions on almost any topic • Help improve English (grammar, sentence framing, pronunciation tips) • Assist with office work (emails, reports, professional communication) • Help with coding and technical problems • Give ideas for YouTube content (useful for your Bollywood edits 😉) • Explain complex topics in simple words ⸻ 2️⃣ How does it work? ChatGPT is powered by advanced AI models like GPT-4 and GPT-5. These models are trained on large amounts of text data to understand patterns in language. It doesn’t “think” like a human — it predicts the most relevant and meaningful response based on your question. ⸻ useful #fyb #meme #viral #relationships #bestfriend
