If you got the curling technique down but your curls are still dropping after 20 mins…this might be why. You can’t skip the necessary steps that that’s needed before and after you curl. ✔️ Blow dry the hair smooth first. If the hair isn’t as straight as you can get it, you’re curling over texture… and that fights the shape. ✔️ Add layers (even light ones). Hair that’s one length is heavy and heavy hair drops curls fast. Layers take some of that weight off and creates movement that holds the curl. ✔️ Pin your curls and let them cool. This is the step people rush but cooling is what locks the shape in. We blame the iron when it’s really the prep.
