Rebinding with many mistakes but I have learned a lot. Here I am making a new cover for an old classic ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Emily Brontë. I used a new material and learned a lot about it. I always have to remove the glue from my hands. The material doesn't warp, unlike fabric or book covers. Here you can correct the mistakes with an eraser. Unfortunately, this is not possible with velour. You should also use a Teflon folder to avoid leaving marks on the material. Unfortunately, I haven't found mine. But I'm still happy with the result, as it's the first time I've used the old cover for the new cover instead of making one myself out of cardboard. So we learn once again, bookbinding is a process where you have to make mistakes in order to learn for the next project. That's how I've been doing it for 8 years now. Rebinding mit vielen Fehlern aber ich habe viel gelernt. Hier fertige ich ein neues Cover für einen alten Klassiker 'Die Sturmhöhe' von Emily Brontë. Ich habe ein neues Material genutzt und sehr viel darüber gelernt. Ich muss auf alle Fälle immer den Kleber von meinen Händen entfernen. Das Material verzieht keinen Fehler, anders als Stoff oder Bucheinbandgewebe. Hier kann man mit einem Radierer die Fehler korrigieren. Das geht bei Velour leider nicht. Zudem sollte man ein Teflonfalzbein nutzen, um keine Spuren auf dem Material zu hinterlassen. Meins habe ich leider nicht gefunden. Aber ich bin dennoch glücklich mit dem Ergebnis, da ich zum ersten Mal das alte Cover für das neue Cover genutzt habe, statt selbst eins aus Pappe herzustellen. Also wir lernen mal wieder, Buchbinden ist ein Prozess, in dem man Fehler machen muss, um zu lernen, für das nächste Projekt.
