📸 I took my camera to Lembeh and this happened👇 Frogfish pretending to be sponges. Nudibranchs the size of rice grains. Shrimp, seahorses, and critters so strange you almost forget to press the shutter. Every photo in this reel was taken with my Canon R7 in a Marelux housing and my 60mm and 100mm macro lenses. The wide angle photos with my 8-15 fisheye, plus two strobes and (sometimes) my Marelux SOFT Lite snoot. I also used my Marelux MV-15 diopter for the super tiny subjects 💙 No crazy sci fi rig, just gear I know well and use intentionally. That is the part I care about most. Craft over gear. Subject first, always. Authentic moments over forced perfection. Lembeh is incredible for macro, and the real magic happens when you understand your camera well enough to slow down, notice the tiny things, and make deliberate choices with your lighting. With its spiky fins, little legs, and perfect sandy camouflage, it waits silently to ambush anything that drifts too close. Spotting this venomous predator is a rare thrill that makes Lembeh’s night dives truly unforgettable✨

In the coral rubble of Lembeh Strait hides the dazzling but deadly Blue-ringed Octopus (Hapalochlaena spp.). Barely golf-ball sized, it flashes neon-blue rings when threatened — a warning that its venom can be fatal. Spotting one here is a heart-pounding thrill and a reminder that the ocean’s tiniest creatures can be its most dangerous.

What an absolutely incredible sighting last cruise, close to Tifore and on our way to #Lembeh. We came across a pod of orcas and when they came closer we could see there was a tiny baby. The baby orca looked lifeless and after a few minutes one of the adults quite forcefully pushed it with her nose. Was this a newly born orca? 🥰 The baby finally moved and swam off into the sunset with the rest of the pod. #orca #liveaboardindonesia

A Bangaii Cardinal on @nadlembeh housereef. They congregate in the spines of sea urchins to stay safe from marine predators such as Jacks and small Tuna that we see around the dock. However, there is a predator that is not too concerned about the spines of the Sea Urchins!
