Cheers to less screen time and more hobbies time 🧚 I’ve set this big intention for 2026: cultivate the art of offline living. That may sounds a little confusing for someone who has quit everything to be a full time content creator creator and should logically be « online » quite often. But truthfully, this intention has never been this necessary because of what I do. Although I said I wanted to be more present here, my peace of mind is priceless. Which is why I need boundaries and balance between my online et offline life 🙈 In a world which has made us dependent of social media and more, I’ve reached a point where I want to unlearn to entertain myself through online content. I’m not saying being online is bad otherwise I wouldn’t do content creation lol But it’s okay to appreciate life and time without a screen sometimes 🥰 do you have favorite cozy hobbies? . . . . #cozyhobbies #lessscreentime #cozygirl #hobbiesareimportant #cozyaesthetic

If screen time feels like a daily battle, this might change the conversation. Most families are in the same boat. The nagging, the pushback, the sense that nothing really lands – we get it. This reframe cuts through because it doesn’t lecture. It speaks to teenagers in their own language: your time matters. Your attention is valuable. You get to decide what takes it. Not “phones are bad” – but what’s being taken, and why. Save this. Share it. Watch it together. (Check out the full Ted Talk by @dino_ambrosi on YouTube)

↓ 7 simple ways to reduce your screen time If you feel that your screen time is getting out of hand, you’re not alone. Numerous studies have shown that too much screen time can have adverse health effects, especially in children & younger people. Here’s 7 simple ways to reduce your screen time right now. 1- Track Your Screen Time: Start by gaining insights into your screen time habits. Use apps to monitor your daily activities. Identify the time spent on work, essential tasks & social media, 2- Opt for Single-Screen Focus Resist the temptation to juggle multiple screens simultaneously. Instead of scrolling through your phone while watching TV or working on your computer, prioritize a single-screen focus. 3 - Less Appealing Phones are powerful distractions, often triggering a dopamine response. Diminish the allure by switching your phone to grayscale, lowering brightness, or setting it to silent. 4 - Screen-Free Breaks Incorporate regular screen breaks into your workdays and longer breaks on days off. Set alarms every 30 minutes for work breaks, ensuring you step away from all screens. 5 - Old School Not every task requires a screen. Consider alternatives like phone calls instead of Zoom meetings and pen-and-paper notes over digital apps. 6 - Work Boundaries Define fixed working hours to prevent work from encroaching on personal time. Communicate these boundaries to colleagues and clients, turning off work-related notifications outside of work hours. 7 - Switch Off Before Bed Prioritize quality sleep by disconnecting from screens at least an hour before bedtime. Set alarms to signal the end of screen time and create device-free zones in your bedroom and bathroom. Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection. ✅ Hit the follow button for more tips! ✅ Was this helpful? I was a phone addict for YEARS, until I did this simple 6 step process. Save this. If you do these 6 steps in order, your screen time drops without “willpower” 👇 ❌Delete the triggers (2 mins) Remove the 3 apps you open on autopilot. Not “later.” Now. (You can reinstall, your brain just needs the break.) 📱Add friction (30 secs) Turn on: grayscale + notifications OFF (except calls/text + calendar). Color+ pings are the addiction engine. 📲Move the phone (1 rule) Phone stays outside your bedroom and out of reach while working. If it’s within arm’s reach, you’ll touch it. 🔁Replace the hit (the swap list) Pick 3 tiny substitutes for the urge: water sip, 10 deep breaths, stand + stretch. 🪟Set 2 daily windows (freedom without relapse) Choose two scroll windows (ex: 12:30–12:45 + 8:30–8:50). Outside those windows = no feed apps. ⏰Track one number (make it a game) Write daily: Screen time + pickups. Try to beat yesterday by 5%. Small wins compound fast. If you want real non bs advice from a student whose gone from failing subjects to acing tests, let’s do this together! ✅ phoneaddiction #dopaminedetox #productivity #discipline #habits #selfimprovement #focus #studytips #fyp

I've learned SO much about childhood screen time, and if you're trying to cut back on screen time I hope this helps you!! Hang in there mama, if they're used to screens there will be a tough detox period - ours felt like 3 months, then once it's "out of their system" my daughter forgot about it and never asked, I'd find her playing differently and sleeping better, it was like a 180 change. The skills and habits she learned during that year ~detox~ were amazing. We're back on screens now more than I'd like (😭), but I know as parents everything has a time and a season and when the days come back that I have the bandwidth for no screens we've got the tricks to make the switch! #screentimealternatives #screenfreekids

My kids were becoming screen addicts. Here’s what I did about it. Instant meltdowns when asked to put devices down. Bedtime routines completely derailed. The “no devices at dinner table” rule we’d had for years? Not cutting it anymore as they got older. Last school year, I made a hard pivot: • No screen time during the school week • 2-3 hours max on weekends The difference? Night and day. Calmer kids. Regulated nervous systems. Way fewer meltdowns. They’re actually present now. I catch them reading, playing with their legos, painting, etc. sometimes they are bored and that’s ok. I don’t think our brains always need stimulation. It’s ok to be bored and just use your imagination or rest. It wasn’t easy at first, but the peace in our home was worth the adjustment period. If you’re raising kids and trying to break cycles while keeping your sanity, hit follow. I share the real stuff about intentional parenting. #intentionalparenting #millennialmomlife #raisingthemkids

We never thought we’d be able to go no screens but we have survived over 30 days screen free and here’s what we’ve learned so far 💙🙏 If you want the full debrief on our why, how and what we’ve learned since going screen free comment “NO SCREENS” and we’ll DM you everything! Secondly, if you had told me screens were a problem for our children a year ago I would have scoffed. However, since going I really do believe the changes are profound and so dramatic that I encourage any parent to at least do your own research, reflect on your own use of screens and just consider trying it. Again, I never, ever envisioned being a “no screen” proponent but I think the amazing thing about life and parenting is we have this ability to continually learn, adapt and change if we are willing. For us, and most importantly our boys, this has been one the best experiments ever and we’re excited to see where it takes us and if you’re nervous just know, if we can survive doing it, YOU CAN DEFINITELY DO IT TOO!! P.S. Comment “NO SCREENS” for a full breakdown of our experience and why we did this! #parenting #noscreens #screenfree #screenfreekids #twinmom #twindad #boymom #parentinglife
