making a fiber optics dress, part 1: the skirt! part 2 will be the top (and I’ll post a story in a bit to vote on what the design for the top should be!) but after months - this skirt is finally DONE!!! it’s 4 layers (hoopskirt, petticoat, lining, fiber optics fabric) and if i were getting married anytime soon you can BET i would be planning on making this my wedding dress, i love it so much 😤💕💕 to be totally honest though, this isn’t a super difficult dress - it’s a little complicated because of the fabric, but not too hard. the real reason it took me months is because it’s such an expensive fabric that I had a big mental block trying to get it ~perfect~ (because i quite literally cannot afford to mess up haha 😅😅). but honestly? sometimes done is better than perfect, and that’s the route I’m trying to take with this right now, not getting so hung up on the details! :) but now I’m finally making solid progress on this dress, and I hope to finish it completely in the coming weeks! and as always - more details are in my story highlights!
