It really does take a village! We are so honored to have had some of the best volunteers in Orlando, help us with this massive library management systems project!!! We are using Libib (luh•bib) for our digital collection, and each book had to be reviewed, categorized, inputed, tagged, alphabetized, and shelved before we could have our grand opening! With over a thousand books, this project took a little under three months to complete! When my husband and I first got married, we dreamed of one day having a library—not just for lending to friends but for our kids to have books on any topic at their fingertips. Good Christian books can be hard to find at our local library, so we’ve been building a collection (lots I’m sent by publishers to review now 🥹❤️📚) ever since to share with others and enjoy together.

CREATIVITY IN ORGANIZING: I was this close to ordering a library scanner to catalog our books but this FREE app came my way. @libib legit just needs you to scan your books barcode right from your phone to catalog it. . . Now when the kiddos pull out books they just put the name into Libib and it’ll tell them exactly what case and shelf that book goes back into, and what makes it even more nifty is you can use it to organize games, movies, and music too!

I am not here to gate keep a good time so here are the details for how you can catalog your library too 🙌🏽 📚 Barcode Scanner is from @mightyape and is called "1D Barcode Scanner Reader Automatic Handheld Portable Wired" - if you don't have a computer then I am sure you could find a Bluetooth option on there too 📚 Cloud catalog is called Libib.com - I created a free account Someone commented on my previous reel that they had trouble with indie books and having to manually enter them...I've scanned over 10 indie books so far and not had an issue with any. These were all self published New Zealand authors. The ISBN should be registered to that book so unless that's not the case you shouldn't have any trouble I wouldn't think 🤔 but please comment below if you have had trouble and what you suggest because I'm still learning here too I hope that helps! | Library at home, book lover, book organization, fun, bookstagram, booktok, books |
