Faux lime wash tutorial! 🙌🏾🤎Comment “WASH” for the paint, tools, and item links. This finish has been everywhere in the home interior space and it’s way easier than it looks. ✨ Water, dip in the middle, X-shape strokes — repeat. ✨ You can dip in water after the paint too. I switched between both methods. We found that water after the paint dip did glide more, but just make sure you don’t dip it too much or it’ll run all down the wall. ✨ 1 gallon of Behr Premium Plus in a matte/flat finish. I used Ivory Lace + Basswood in the video and linked them on my LTK and dm lists. Limewash Paint Wall Tutorial: I transformed our bedroom into a cozy and calming neutral have with a DIY Lime Wash Wall! +I Started with @jhwallpaints Mineral Prime for the perfect base which I rolled on. +Then, I added one coat of JH Lime Wash Paint in shade 107. I used their recommended block brush, spray the wall with water as I went to slightly diluted the product, and used a cross-hatch motion for the entire wall. I kept a wet edge the entire time. +To attempt to add depth, I experimented by adding a second coat of JH Lime Wash Paint in 104 diluted with 50% water. + I panicked and thought it turned out too light, so I went back in and added a third coat of shade 107. If you like your result after the first coat - don’t add a second coat. All in all - I am happy with the way the wall turned out because I kinda felt like after the first coat you could see some of my obvious brush strokes - but I did prefer the level of darkness the first coat had over my final result.
