How to Put a Picture in a Locket (The Easy Way) There’s something incredibly powerful about wearing a photo close to your heart. It turns a locket into more than just jewellery — it becomes a memory you can carry with you. Here’s how I do it, step by step — no special equipment needed, just a bit of creativity. First, I measured the inside of my locket. In this case, it was 20 by 20 millimetres — every locket is slightly different, so be sure to measure yours carefully. Next, I opened Canva and created a blank design with those exact dimensions (20mm x 20mm). Then I searched for a heart-shaped frame, dropped it into the design space, and added my chosen photo behind it. Once I was happy with the placement, I saved the image and printed it out on standard paper. To protect the photo inside the locket, I reused some clear plastic packaging — it’s the perfect thickness. I cut the heart shape out of the plastic and layered it over the photo. Finally, I used a small scalpel to carefully lift the inner frame out of the locket. This makes it so much easier to fit the photo in neatly.
