Top 7 Reality Checks & how it works : When dreaming we have a tendency to accept everything around us, even when it doesn’t make sense. The key to becoming Lucid is to train our awareness to make the difference between the dream world and our waking world. Build a habit to frequently question the reality you’re in. Eventually this hair will carry over into your dreams, and next time you notice something strange that could only happen in a dream, you will immediately become Lucid. 1. Nose Pinch: Pinch your nose and try to breathe. In a dream, you’ll still be able to breathe. 2. Finger Through Palm: Try pushing one finger through the palm of your other hand. During your waking life your finger will naturally stop, but in a dream, it will pass through. 3. Reading Text: Look at a piece of text, look away, then look back. In dreams, text often shifts or becomes unreadable. 4. Totems: You may choose to carry around a little object with you, like an old coin, a unique ring, or a little stone, and get very familiar with its shape, weight, and the way it feels in your hands or spins around. By building a habit of playing with it often, next time you’re dreaming and you notice any strange difference with it, you will become Lucid. 5. Looking at your hands: A good thing about our hands is that we carry them with us everywhere we go, making it easy to get very familiar with them. Make it a habit to look at them often throughout the day. Next time you’re dreaming and you notice any strange difference on your hands, you will immediately know that you’re dreaming. 6. Perform Magic: If you want to make it even more fun and exciting, try performing magic during the day, move things with your mind, or try forming a ball of energy. While you’re awake it might not yield much results. When dreaming the magic will naturally respond to your will. 7. Associate your Reality Checks with other habits you already have.
