A free shuttle service will be provided and leave every 15 mins. Onsite parking may be purchased ahead of time for $25 online.

Know Before You Go: Here are a few tips for your Luminations experience: ✨️ Get tickets in advance at wildflower.org/luminations (or tap the link in our bio). ✨️ Take the free shuttle from 5401 La Crosse Ave, purchase guaranteed on-site parking, or take a rideshare to the Wildflower Center. ✨️ We have food trucks and a full cash bar on the trail, and the @wildflowercafeatx is open with snacks and drinks (pro tip: if you've been admiring wildflowers for at least 21 years, request a spiked hot chocolate!) ✨️ Tag us in your pics and vids @wildflowercenter and use the hashtag #Luminations ✨️ No pets - only service animals are allowed to accompany folks at this event. The most peaceful holiday trail opens TODAY! Luminations debuts this evening, Dec 5th, at the @wildflowercenter! It’s magical, peaceful, and well attended but not crowded. ✨Experience the Wildflower Center under twinkly lights with illuminated exhibits—plus Fortlandia at night! ✨Kids activities include glowing swings, disco dance floor, colorful trails, and Fortlandia ✨Hot cocoa, alcohol and food available ✨Trail is stroller and wagon friendly ✨Tickets are between $20-$30 for non-members. Members are discounted at $13-$23. 🎄Maybe not the noisy “rah rah” holiday activity that instagram loves….but this one is my favorite! 🌠 So many local Austin holiday events are SO loud, sugary, stimulating, and kind of leave you exhausted. I love @wildflowercenter LUMINATIONS so much. It’s peaceful and calming. One of my all-time favorite Christmas activities in Austin for kids! 🎄 ~ Open Dec 5 - Jan 3 at The Wildflower Center ~ It’s really spread out so there’s not one big crowd…it feels pretty spacious ~ The entire garden is lit up with hundreds of thousands of lights ~ You can sip hot cocoa ☕️ while you stroll at your own pace ~ My boys LOVE running around and exploring the trails ~ Fortlandia is on the Luminations trail so extra play time for the kids! ~ I thought it was so cozy to get bundled up and enjoy a Christmas stroll with Nate ~ Great for all ages! I know that not everyone loves the quieter stuff! It might just be that I’m in a kind of chaotic chapter of parenting, so I love finding ways to reduce excess noise. 💞 I love this holiday lights event and highly recommended getting tickets for your fam. ➡️ What about you? ✨ Luminations at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center ✨ Luminations, the @WildflowerCenter’s Annual, ever-changing light show, is a space for the whole family to enjoy winter magic. This year, the climbable forts of Fortlandia will be included in Luminations, giving a special draw for kids of all ages. Also on our radar are the full-service bars for grown-ups, as well as a revolving lineup of local food trucks and other kid-friendly offerings. Also new this year, Luminations will be throughout the Wildflower Center’s Main Gardens, making it a more walkable and even more immersive experience. Luminations runs through January 5, 2025, with entry from 5:45 pm – 7:45 pm (with the exhibit closing at 9 pm).
