Hi everyone! I’m Sonal Shah, the founder of Minimahjong 💛 For years, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, and today I finally get to live it through my Mahjong classes 🀄️✨ This is my very first post here, and I’m so excited to share my love for Mahjong with you. Since we had many requests for more beginner classes (and now intermediate classes for those of you who’ve shown up week after week!!) we’ve decided to open up a series of 3 week sessions! PRIVATE MAHJONG LESSONS! In addition to tours, we offer private mahjong lessons for Cantonese and Taiwanese styles. Mahjong is part of Hong KONG’S intangible heritage culture and we are family friendly. We recommend 9 years old being the youngest age that can play independently as a player and during the lesson, we throw in lots of probability and maths for the kids to make it into an educational and cultural lesson! It’s also a great activity for an evening with friends or another couple. We might at times for certain team building events also teach other styles more apt for the time duration available. Mahjong requires 4 people and our private classes are for 4-8 people. We are not coordinating classes for individual signups at this time. Our classes have been featured in Tatler and Sassy Hong Kong and we’ve taught over 500 people to date! We can accommodate around 20- 50 people for Corporate events. Please email [email protected]

Oh What a Week!!! 🀄✨ From bubbles to breakthroughs, it’s been a blast!! The Sunday Social 🥂We kicked things off with Mimosas & Mahjong. There’s nothing quite like the sound of clacking tiles paired with a little citrus and sparkle! 🥂 Congrats to our Sunday winners: 🏆Lynn, Cathleen, Megan, Christine and Trish Mid-Week Momentum 🧠🀄 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were all about the “Mahj-mastery.” A mix of private and group lessons, and the progress has been incredible! Watching those “lightbulb moments” happen when the first hand is called is the BEST! Congratulations to this week’s winners: 🏆 Michele, Gwen and Allyson!
