In one of our videos, we explored how most maps fail to accurately represent the true size of countries. Today, letโs dive deeper into some countries and regions that are surprisingly larger than they appear. For example, Brazil is actually larger than the contiguous United States, that is excluding Alaska., yet map projections make it look similar in size. If placed over North America, Brazil would stretch from northern Canada to Mexico. Similarly, on a Mercator map, Greenland appears almost as large as Africa, but in reality, Africa is about 14 times larger than Greenland. Additionally, India might seem smaller due to its location near the equator. However, if placed on the continent of Europe, it could span from Norway in the north to the southern tip of Italy. #country #map #mapanimation #geography #africa #europe #usa #paris #animation

๐ Map Overview: This map shows the second most spoken languages in Europe 100 years ago vs today. It highlights the languages people actually use in daily life, not just those they know. ๐ฐ๏ธ 100 Years Ago: Many regions had local languages as the second most spoken, often influenced by neighboring countries or historical empires. ๐ Today: Migration, globalization, and cultural changes have shifted daily language use. Some languages that were widely known a century ago are now less spoken daily, while others, like English, have become dominant as a second language in many countries. ๐ฃ๏ธ Example: In Scotland, many people know Scots, but few speak it daily, so it wouldnโt count as the second most spoken language today. ๐ Purpose: This map helps compare historical vs modern language use across Europe, showing which languages are truly active in everyday life. #FYP #Viral #Reel #Map #Europe #Languages #History #DailyUse #Learn #Culture #Trends #Facts #Lingua #Talk #World
