Across the Road: Art Meets Community at Margate School 🎨 Did you know that just across the road on the High Street — in the old Woolworths building — sits The Margate School? An independent, not-for-profit liberal arts school, it’s become a vital hub for creativity and community in Margate. They offer postgraduate-level courses, studio spaces, a gallery, and socially-engaged programs grounded in art, society, and nature. We recently met with Sandra from Sandra Art4All, an incredible art studio based in Acol that provides a platform for aspiring artists with special needs, including those who are Deaf, Autistic, or living with other learning impairments. This afternoon, Art4All launches their “Proud 2 Create” Summer Exhibition at The Margate School — featuring over 180 original artworks by 12 local artists across a spectrum of abilities and styles (landscapes, abstracts, urban scenes, animals, and more). The show opens today starting at 4 pm, running through 8 pm, and continues every day from 11 am to 4 pm until August 30. Why You Should Stop By: Celebrate vibrant art created by artists who are Deaf, Autistic, neurodiverse, or have other learning impairments — supported by Sandra’s inclusive studio.
