Kicking off my 100 Day Project with some messy marks in my favorite color! Spraying water on the wet ink makes some of the marks spread out. The finished paper has the yummiest crinkly sound. I call myself an abstract watercolor and mixed media artist, and this is the mixed media part. I do love my art supplies! This little printing exercise is perfect if you don’t have a gel plate. It’s a quick, organic way to create beautiful collage papers and spark new ideas for mark making. It’s one of the techniques I teach inside the Creative Blend Art Program. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All you need is palette paper and fluid acrylic paint. If you don’t have palette paper, you can try baking paper, the shiny side of freezer paper, brown paper bags, deli paper, waxed paper, or silicone sheets.
