It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t smooth. But it was magically. Here’s my story of bringing life into this world. 2 days of labour, 4 hours of active pushing and a 4 degree tear. Prolonged pressure during labour left me with a condition was called maternal neuropathy (nerve damage on right leg). It left me bedridden for 2 months. The doctors told me it would heal, but they couldn’t guarantee when. The thing that scared me wasn’t the pain. Not the possibility of nerve damage lasting forever. It was this, what if I couldn’t walk, run, or keep up with my baby when he needs me? That was the only fear that stayed. Maybe that’s when I truly stepped into motherhood, quietly, but completely. ✨ #birth #birthstory #motherhood
