reviewing the fuji no shiro matcha from nakamura tokichi honten 🍵 i had a good feeling as soon as i cracked open the tin - the matcha was a really vibrant green and smelled sweet! at £7 for a 30g tin, i didn’t expect anything super punchy or complex so i was not disappointed by the mild umami. in fact, i was really happy with the subtle bitterness and astringency bc i felt that it made for a well balanced latte! the thing that really sold it to me was the texture - it froths so easily and created the perfect microfoam layer. overall, it’s a really creamy and smooth matcha! i’m surprised that i haven’t seen more people reviewing it! here is my attempt at another matcha review, this time - it’s marukyu koyamaen’s isuzu ▫️ cost without international shipping fees (and mental cost of trying to get it lol): $7.85/40g = $0.18/g ▫️ super vivid green color & a fresh, vegetal aroma ▫️ usucha - 2g matcha, 60g water at 75C: astringent, but overall light, refreshing/sharp and vegetal taste ▫️ americano: ^ this but ice and more water: no astringency, more refreshing, prominently vegetal ▫️ latte - 3g matcha, 30g water at 75C, 125g minor figures organic barista oat milk: this milk is particularly strong in flavor, but you can still taste the matcha through it (mildly). the milk makes it creamy and sweet. overall, light vegetal matcha flavors ▫️ conclusion: overall light flavors, mild astringency as usucha, but fades away as you dilute it/add milk. per JJ market: “sharp and acid undertone” and i can definitely see that. it’s SUPER affordable at $0.18/g so it’s perfect for daily matcha drinks in any preparation you prefer! #sipswithtiff #matcha #matchatok #matchalover #fyp #asmr #creatorsearchinsights #homecafe #discoverunder1k #matchareview #matchapowder #matchapowderreview #review #markyukoyamaen #isuzu #CapCut
