Mauritius gilt als eines der sicheres Reiseziele in Afrika. Genau deshalb habe ich mir an diesem Abend überhaupt keine Gedanken gemacht. Wir saßen in Flic en Flac in einem Restaurant, oben auf dem Balkon, direkt an der Straße. Mein Kind bei mir. Essen auf dem Tisch. Musik von unten. Stimmen, Lachen, Autos. Ein ganz normaler Urlaubsabend eben. Bis dieser eine Moment kam. Unten hielt plötzlich ein Auto mitten auf der Straße. Ein Mann stieg aus. Ganz ruhig. Fast schon gut gelaunt. Ich habe erst gar nicht richtig hingeschaut. Dann sehe ich, wie er zu einem anderen Auto geht. Der Fahrer reicht ihm etwas rüber. Es war ein großes Messer. Ich weiß noch, wie mein Blick daran hängen geblieben ist, weil mein Kopf einen Moment gebraucht hat, um zu verstehen, was ich da gerade sehe. Er steckt es einfach in seine Hose. Als wäre das völlig normal. Und plötzlich war dieses Gefühl da. Ganz leise, aber sofort klar: Hier stimmt etwas nicht. Dann sehe ich noch einen zweiten Mann. Auch mit einem Messer. Die beiden gehen in eine dunkle Nebengasse. Genau dahin, wo ich vorher noch Kinderstimmen gehört habe. In dem Moment habe ich mein Kind einfach näher zu mir gezogen. Ganz automatisch. Mein Herz hat richtig angefangen zu klopfen. Diese Leichtigkeit… war einfach weg. Ich saß da und habe nur noch gedacht: Bitte lass hier einfach nichts passieren. Als sie mit dem Auto dann wieder wegfuhren, haben wir nicht lange überlegt. Schnell bezahlt und weg hier. Und dann… als wir schon im Auto saßen, kamen sie wieder. Diesmal mit Baseballschlägern. Ich habe nicht mehr hingeschaut. Ich wollte einfach nur, dass wir da wegfahren. Es ist nichts passiert, was wir gesehen habe. Aber dieses Gefühl bleibt. 😰 ‼️Deshalb vielleicht einfach als ehrlicher Reminder: Meidet größere, belebte Orte in der Dunkelheit – vor allem mit Kindern. Nicht aus Panik.
