 The public beta of TotalMix 2.0 has been on the RME forum for a little while now, with the developers still adding new features and improvements all the time

. The main standout feature is that TotalMix is now fully scalable, meaning it can be resized to work perfectly with any computer monitor, simply by clicking and dragging! Other improvements include a Bright Skin, offering a lighter look to your session window, as well as overall design improvements that make seeing channel settings easier to see at a glance.

 ❗Note: As with any beta release, we would always advise using caution if you are in the middle of a production! Test on a backup machine first, or be prepared to roll back to the previous version, and make sure you’ve saved any previous TotalMix setups as workstations❗️

Playing with MPE pitch bend again! 🎹 Inspired by final boss soundtracks, I wanted to experiment with the Phrygian mode. Here’s the chord progression I came up with: Asus4 - Bb add#11 - F/C - E/B I kept it simple with just 4 tracks: a main Supersaw, a high-frequency Lead, a mid-range Pad, and a Sub. While layering tons of sounds is great for character, I find it just as important to carve out space with EQ—letting each sound keep its original identity without getting buried. To keep things interesting, I added different FX at the end of each bar. Which one is your favorite? 1, 2: Glitchy time stretching using a free plugin called Tape Fiasco. 3: ethereal atmosphere created with a Convolver. 4: downsampling effect using the built-in Redux plugin.
