1. Not everything is worth being memorized. Don't overwhelm yourself with useless information, get the essential, understand the whole. 2. Be selective. Only 20% of what you learn will be at the test. ( 20% of what you learn gives 80% results ) ---> end of topic questions, when the teacher pauses a lot or repeats, past papers... 3. Turn your phone to black and white mode (greyscale) and only use it while standing or walking. Want to sit down? Put your phone away. 4. The 1 hour rule The hour after school ends - no phone. Connect with reality not what ain't concerning you anyways. 5. Sleep, food and sport. Recharging battery 🔋 is essential. Sleep to recover, food (I ain't talking about sweets and fast food) for energy and sport to relieve stress. 6. Used evolving study packages. - One per test, adding notes and examples after each class. Read through it once after school every 1-2 days 7. Hydrate as much as possible Isn't optional - it feeds your neurons (that's why you get headaches when you don't drink enough) 8. Learn to manage your time, it's a key factor to succeed. Practice regularly. 9. Track progress It releases dopamine (happiness/need of more) and will get you that addictive side effect. E.g Goal : studying 90 minutes, break down Into 30 min blocks - check ✅ a box everytime you finished a 30 min session 10. Beat perfectionism. It is never about how pretty something is, but always about how practical it is. 11. Learn from mistakes The brain retains more about what you did wrong than right. 12. identify high-impact tasks (Pareto Principle) and focus on them 13. Think outside the box. They want to see if you panic or if you problem-solve. Here’s the framework: Step 1: Clarify. What kind of airplane? A 737? A small private jet? Ask before you assume. Step 2: Break it into parts. Estimate the plane’s dimensions. Estimate the usable space (not every inch is available - seats, walls, cockpit). Estimate the size of a golf ball. Step 3: Do rough math out loud. Round numbers are fine. 3.14 becomes 3. They’re not checking your arithmetic. Step 4: Sanity check. Does your final number sound reasonable? If you get 12 golf balls or 800 million, revisit your assumptions. The whole time, narrate your thinking. “I’m assuming the cabin is roughly this size because…” That’s what they’re evaluating. The bed is bursting at the seams. Little feet. Warm cheeks. Someone’s elbow in my ribs. And still…there’s always space. (Actually eating til the younger joins us. ) And they know it. 🤍 Before I became a mom, I had the schedules saved. The routines memorized. I was fully prepared to “do it right.” And lawd knew there was no way I would be cosleeping. Then she was born… and my instincts were louder than any course I had studied. It didn’t feel aligned for us, and I’ve learned that’s reason enough. With my first, I knew I didn’t want to sleep train… but I also didn’t know what the alternative looked like.
