When you’re writing out your cards, make sure there is one question per card and break down larger concepts into multiple cards. 𝗗𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗩𝗦. 𝗣𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗥 - it is inconclusive whether one is better than the other, so choose which you prefer. Keep in mind that digital may be more convenient in terms of spaced repetitions & for larger amounts of content to get the best out of your studying. 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 & 𝗠𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦 - try to incorporate these into your cards to improve your memory via visual & auditory cues. 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘- instead of just cycling through each flashcard, organize your flashcards based on your confidence level. One side of the card has a question and the other side features the answer so it is a good way for practising recall. For example: Q: What is Pythagoras’s Theorem? A: a²+b² = c² When making flashcards use the following tips: * Keep each card as simple as possible → 1 card for each piece of information * Use images or diagrams where appropriate * Try using word deletion by leaving gaps to fill in when reviewing → e.g. ___ is the capital of Australia * Test yourself both ways → e.g. when learning new words go from English to Spanish, as well as Spanish to English [📦] The Leitner System The Leitner system was created by German science journalist Sebastian Leitner. It uses a number of boxes to track when you need to study each flashcard. It uses spaced repetition to help you memorise information.
