Cloned a Text Message from Thin Air Today I tested a real LoRa replay attack using T-Deck, HackRF One, and MeshNology N37… and the results were crazy 🤯 First, I sent a normal message from my T-Deck to the N37. Everything worked — the message reached the node, and the live signal showed up in the waterfall. Next, I powered OFF the N37 and sent the same message again. This time the message didn’t reach the node, but my HackRF One captured that exact LoRa signal from the air. Then comes the interesting part: I replayed the captured signal using HackRF… and the N37 accepted the message as if it just received it fresh on the network. Even wilder — the T-Deck shows its own replayed message as if it came from another user. This proves how simple replay attacks can fool LoRa-based systems without proper security. This demo is ONLY for educational & research purposes. Tried something fun today: sent a message with the LilyGO T-Deck on Meshtastic and watched the signal show up on the HackRF spectrum I’m still pretty new to this, but it’s cool seeing how the messages actually look in the air. Anyone else here experimenting with Meshtastic? What should I try next? No Cell, No Wi-Fi, Still Connected: My Meshtastic Intergalactic Communicator for Off-Grid Communication! 🛜 I turned the TANMATSU “Intergalactic Communicator” by Nicolai Electronics into a fully off-grid Meshtastic cyberdeck for long-range, low-power communication 🚀 This handheld device is a compact hacker-style cyberdeck built around an ESP32/RISC-V platform with LoRa radio, designed for portable, off-grid communication and experimentation. I loaded the latest Meshtastic firmware on it so I can send and receive encrypted messages with: • No cell service • No Wi-Fi • No SIM card or data plan • Just pure LoRa mesh networking 🛜 In this video, I show: • The hardware design and look/feel of the Intergalactic Communicator • The screen and Meshtastic interface in action • A live message being sent over the mesh network • How this fits into real-world off-grid communication and emergency comms This Meshtastic node is perfect for: • Off-grid text messaging and group chats • Emergency and disaster communication • Backpacking, hiking, and remote trips • Preppers, ham radio fans, and hacker communities • Anyone who wants a portable LoRa mesh communicator that works when phones don’t Even though this cyberdeck can run many different apps and firmware options, I chose to focus it on Meshtastic to create a dedicated, reliable off-grid communicator that just works. #meshtastic #cooltech #techgadgets techtok techtips

BRUCEDEVICES - Predatory Firmware Been using my @ttgo_by_lilygo TDeck Plus for Meshtastic™ testing but with other devices filling the testing role, we decided to try another firmware called BRUCE. Now Brucey here is an interesting one. Think flipper OFW with a larger more purple-y screen. You have the ability to create your own UI with files and color scheme too. We found the repo on GitHub with a link to a webpage Flasher tool (look up Bruce.computer in you browser). It lists the compatible devices and has a Simple step by step downloading process. For the TDeck, it required holding the trackball at startup to begin the firmware download. After less than a minute, it was ready to go and fires up in seconds. I will say it’s quite buggy still and the trackball is either way under or over sensitive at times and the touch screen works 50% of the time. Also, minimal tools work with the TDecks limited hardware. All in all it’s a cool idea and awesome to have on a device with a double or triple sized screen than the flipper, but it’s buggy nature and limited usable tools make it less than ideal for a Tdeck. However, we plan to grab a TEmbed after the new year and try ol Brucey on it! Maybe we’ll dig out the flipper and do a comparison too… Disclaimer: never abuse this tool - we use this on our own personal property as a pen testing tool for learning. We do not advise use outside of your own controlled environment. #thelab #project #engineering #radio #digital #development #mesh #meshradio #meshtastic #minnesota #controls #electronics #circuits #nfccard #technology #offgrid #tacticalcoms #LoRa #Reticulum #MeshNetwork #OffGridComms #FieldTesting #NDI #SolarPowered #IoT
