3 Metrics Every Business Owner MUST Obsess over on Instagram. The reason these are so important is because it gives you clarity so you know what content is doing well and what you should be doubling down on for 2026. As someone who works with eight and nine figure businesses and brands, these are the three metrics we obsess over. 1. Follows per video - this is content that is growing your audience and it’s a signal to heavy up on it because this is bringing a new eyeballs for you. 2. Shares - this is the content that has such a dialed in message that other people are wanting to share this on their story or in the DM’s or in a text thread to tell other people about it because it resonated with them. 3. Rate of views - basically, how fast is your video getting views? For the first 24 hours, you should be checking every hour. Then, after the first 24 hours, you should be checking every 24 hours - so how many views are you getting after 48 hours after 72 hours, etc., So stop getting emotional about your content and pay attention to the data because it will never lie to you.
