As we continue to touch train Mick the rhino calf, he’s getting ready to join the rest of the herd out in the paddocks. There were once as few as 100 southern white rhinos remaining in the wild, but thanks to conservation efforts they have made a huge comeback. We’ll continue to safeguard his species at the Zoo, while restoring the populations of other types of rhino out in the field, like black and greater one-horned rhinos, through our ZSL conservation work.
