The beauty of microbiology is truly limitless. Each plate tells a different story—diverse colonies, unique morphologies, and the hidden world of bacteria revealed through culture.❤️🧫 Which one was your fav one?? #microbiology #fyp #university #ramadan #biology

The Gram staining classic… 🧫🔬 Step by step: Crystal violet → Iodine → Decolorization → Safranin. But let’s be honest for a moment… The decolorization step is where the real art of microbiology happens. Too long? Everything turns pink. Too short? Everything stays purple. Every lab tech and microbiologist develops their own instinct for that exact moment to stop. So I’m curious 👇 What’s the best trick you learned for the decolorization step in Gram staining? • Timing? • Angle of the slide? • Drop by drop technique? • Or just pure experience? Let’s compare real lab practices in the comments. #fyp #explore #science #phd #microbiology #gramstain #microbiologylab #lablife #scientist #labtech #biotech #researchlife #laboratory #microscopy #stem #microbiologia #mikrobiyoloji

🧫 Streaking a plate = a moment of calm in the middle of the routine. Smooth, repetitive movements… almost automatic. For a few minutes, everything slows down — it’s just you, the loop, and the agar. 🔬 In the middle of the chaos, this is the kind of step that feels peaceful. 💬 Anyone else feels this way in the lab? #agar #bioseguridad #microbiology #animalfeed #qualitycontrol

Handwashing is the most effective, simple, and affordable way to prevent the spread of infections, including respiratory illnesses and diarrheal diseases. By removing germs from hands with soap and water, it prevents illnesses from entering the body via the face and reduces the transmission of bacteria and viruses to others. Not merely washing with water does the job ,washing with soap is necessary to get clean hands. #microbiology #microbiologist #medicalstudent #medicalteacher #medicos

Why do pineapples make your mouth itchy? 🍍 🍍 Chloe (@tardibabe) brings us into the microscopic world this iconic tropical fruit. Pineapples contain tiny needle-like structures called raphides. These are made of calcium oxalate crystals and can irritate your mouth when you eat them. As you chew, the crystals are released from specialized plant cells (idioblasts) and can poke into the soft tissues inside your mouth. Pineapples also bring two more factors to the mix: they’re naturally acidic, and they contain bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down proteins. Together, the acidity, enzymes, and sharp crystals can create that familiar tingling or itchy feeling. Calcium oxalate crystals aren’t unique to pineapples. They show up across a huge range of photosynthetic organisms, from microscopic algae to flowering plants. Plants use them to store calcium and deter herbivores. These crystals can be found in many plant parts, including leaves, roots, stems, and fruits, and they appear in hundreds of plant families. These crystals have fascinated scientists for centuries. Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, often called the father of microscopy, was among the first to observe them in the 1600s. Since then, they’ve been identified not just in plants, but also in soil, rocks, and a wide range of living organisms. #Science #Microbiology #HiddenWorld #CloseUp #Pineapple

Microbiology lab me culture plates ko open chhodna contamination ka reason ban sakta hai ⚠️ Jab plate open rehti hai, environment ke bacteria agar surface par settle ho jate hain aur kuch hi ghanton me unwanted colonies grow ho sakti hain. Isi liye microbiology labs me aseptic technique follow karna bahut important hota hai. Small mistake → big contamination. #microbiology #medicallaboratory #mltstudent #labscience #microbiologylab

Catalase test 🧪✨ A quick and essential test to identify Staphylococcus species. When hydrogen peroxide is added, immediate bubbling (oxygen release) confirms a catalase-positive result — a key feature of Staphylococcus, helping differentiate it from Streptococcus (catalase-negative).
