Finally got the new Instinct sensor made by Abbott that connects with my MiniMed 780G system. Getting new diabetes tech is like a little kid waking up on Christmas morning 😂 So far, my experience has been amazing! Here’s what I’m loving: ✨ Super small + discreet (literally feels like nothing is on my arm) ⚡️ Fast warm-up time (only 1 hour compared to 2 on Guardian 4 sensor) 📱 Seamless connection with my pump (I use the MiniMed mobile app to scan and start the sensor. Definitely makes me feel like even more of a robot lol) 💧 Stays put, even through workouts and showers (no over patches needed!) 🩸No finger prick calibration required 💉 And seriously… the easiest, most comfortable insert yet (loving not having to use the scary massive inserter from my Guardian 4) I’m obsessed with how tiny it is and how smooth the setup was. It definitely becomes more accurate over time, but every time I’ve done an accuracy finger prick test, it’s been pretty spot on. Continuando: o sensor da Medtrum é menor e dura até 14 dias. O da Medtronic dura até 7 dias. Os dois têm transmissores separados. O da Medtrum tem um alarme preditivo do risco de hipo ou hiperglicemia nos próximos 30 minutos. Os bolus de refeição da Medtrum são feitos diretamente do aplicativo do celular, que compartilha dados com cuidadores. Outra possibilidade é os bolus serem feitos pelo controle da bomba. O aplicativo da Medtronic recebe os dados da bomba e compartilha com cuidadores. Temos muitos problemas com funcionamento ruim do aplicativo, veremos o que a Medtronic nos trará! O algoritmo que rege a infusão de insulina da Medtrum tem maior capacidade preditiva do que o da Medtronic. A dose mínima de insulina por dia pra ele rodar é 10 unidades e no Sistema Minimed 780G é 6 unidades. Os dois sistemas tem publicações mostrando o ganho de pelo menos 10% de tempo dentro do alvo, ultrapassando assim a recomendação de 70% de tempo dentro do alvo de 70-180mg/dL. As 2 são resistentes à água e conseguem automaticamente enviar os dados pra plataforma médica. O lema da Medtrum é simplificar o manejo do diabetes. Ela comercializada o seu sistema desde 2023 com pelo menos 25 mil usuários no mundo. Medtronic tem pelo menos 380.000 usuários e está no mercado europeu desde 2020 e no Brasil desde 2022.
