Posted @withregram • @timtebowfoundation 🚨 71 Children Located in Missing Child Operation in New York's Capital Region We are grateful for the opportunity to support our partner, the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF), as they teamed up with the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse and a coalition of local, state, and federal partners, as well as private sector organizations, to launch this operation. This first-ever Capital Region Missing Child Rescue Operation resulted in the location of 71 children reported missing as runaways to police in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy. The operation brought together more than 60 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private partners to collaborate and provide critical investigative support. During the three-day operation, partners worked to explore new leads, review case notes, and leverage technology to find children who are at risk of endangerment, exploitation, and harm. The agencies and participants took a fresh look at the cases, which involved children who had run away or had been taken by their non-custodial parents. The teams explored new leads, reviewed case notes, and leveraged technology to assist with the investigations. “One case, in particular, hit hard: a joint team of city, county, and state officers worked together to locate a child and her alleged abuser. When they returned to the room after locating the child, the emotion was palpable. Watching those investigators hug each other, I was reminded of how deeply this work impacts everyone involved.” said Kevin Branzetti, Co-Founder and CEO of @ncptf.
