Today’s run reminder: I forgot the Body Glide… and felt it. But honestly, it’s just a small reminder of something bigger. This body carried me for miles today. Heart pumping. Legs moving. Breath steady. Our bodies are pretty amazing. Even when they chafe a little. And PS….it’s totally normal! The marathon owes you NOTHING! Today was not my day. But through every difficulty and disappointment comes redemption and growth. I seriously wanted to quit at mile 8. Then seeing my children at the halfway mark cheering for me, I knew I had to keep fighting. And I fought damn hard for this finish. 1st in my AG. Top 10 female. 50k training is in full swing. I need to remember that every one of these runs gets me closer to the end goal, and as always, it’s to finish.
