Do you think Google would like it? 👀 #motiondesign #animation #aftereffects #motiondesigner

Social media has continually surprised us 😅 Didn't expect our previous post to blow up (not that we're complaining 😄). And now we have a bunch of new followers. For those that are new here, you might want to check this out. The link is in our bio. It's a YouTube video about the different roles in motion design, the specific skills I think you should learn in each of those roles, and the places I think you can learn them from. Think of it like a curriculum. This is our best-performing YouTube video so far. It has about 150k views, and if they found it useful, maybe you would too. 😊 #motiondesigns #motiondesign #motiongraphics_p #aftereffects #motiondesigner #mgcollective #animationstudent #animator #animation #2danimation #animation2d #animate #mdcommunity #adobeanimate #framebyframe #photoshop

3 tips of how to work fast as a motion designer: 1. Make your layers in 3d. Just by animating your object on a 3d axis instantly adds depth and style to your video. Recent updates also made aftereffects to animate 3d models really fast, so write this down and use it in your next video. 2. Use match cut transitions. There’s a reason why companies like Open AI loves using Match cut transitions. It’s clean, simple, and super-easy to make compared to other transitions. I honestly don’t use other transitions anymore. 3. Add video templates behind your motions. When you feel like your motion looks too simple, just add a gradient animation in the background — like this. You don’t even have to buy those templates — just go to Canva, Where they have thousands of stock videos you can use as your background. Follow for more Motion Design tips @ginyboi

Personally, I've done all 5. 5. Collage animation. It’s creating animation based on pre-existing assets like photography or illustrations, instead of designing everything from scratch. And because of that, it’s actually easier for beginners to start compared to other niches. Collage animation is widely used in commercials, music videos, or documentaries, so I definitely recommend craving this one. 4. Live action motion. This one is adding motion graphics on top of live action footage, while using techniques like 3d tracking. This one is great for designers who have great taste in filmmaking and cinematography. Live-action motion is heavily used in modern advertising, so try this one if you want to make some good money. 3. Typography motion Now this one’s a little hard compared to others. You need deep knowledge in typography, font, and vector animations, and it also requires a lot of keyframes compared to other niches. But once you master this one, oh my god; everyone is going to find you. Because typography motion covers basically every field of design, so you can literally choose any company you want to work with. 2. Commercial style motion This style is what I mainly do. Inspired by great commercials from Apple, Nike, or Toyota, we focus more on performance and clarity more than flashy visuals. That is why besides motion design, you also have to study a lot about advertising and marketing. 1. Editorial Motion This one is called by many names. Some call it Neu Brutalism, some call it minimal motion, but I prefer the name ‘editorial motion’ Anyway, this is the biggest trend right now, led by companies like OpenAI. It’s highly concentrated on bold text and photography, with a clean white background. This one requires very delicate control of motion graphics, so give it a try if you’re confident of touching keyframes. God bless you.
