It’s all about spring flowers, shimmering potions and a little carrot soup magic 🥕💐 Before you throw things away, save them for sensory play instead… 💐 old bouquets past their best 🥕 veggie peelings from dinner prep 🍃 fallen spring flowers from the garden or a walk 🍂 hedge trimmings and leaves 🍵 used dried tea bags for potions and muddy mixtures So many of our favourite mud kitchen ideas were inspired by the sensory play groups we visited over the years, and it’s still one of the most loved spaces to play. Here’s how I set up my daughter’s mud kitchen for the day! It takes just a few minutes & she will play for hours. I fill up her water, top off the glitter, mica powder, and dried flowers if needed, and that’s it. Ready to play ✨💦🪴🪏 Our mud kitchen staples: • Squeeze bottles – $1 at Walmart • Food coloring – Amazon (we also use this for sensory play & experiments) • Bath fizzies – Amazon or Walmart (you can skip food coloring and just use these. I like breaking them up!) • Mica powder – Amazon (Dollar Tree has it too, but smaller amounts and doesn’t mix as well IMO) • Glitter – Amazon (biodegradable) + Dollar Tree • Salt & pepper shakers – Dollar Tree • Dried flowers – Amazon (or dry your own / use nature finds) • Small & large jars – Dollar Tree • Plastic bins – Dollar Tree When she’s done, I hose everything down so it’s clean and ready for next time 👏🏼 You really don’t need anything fancy.
