The wait has been excruciating but the wait is OVER! It’s finally here - the MXR Bass Synth. I worked with the amazing team at @jimdunlopusa for over a year and a half to make sure this pedal was inspiring to play, simple to use, and MUSICAL. It tracks beautifully, is immediate to your hands, and sounds unbelievably good. The Bass Synth is truly something I would want to buy for myself, and I am incredibly proud to release it into the world. If you’ve always struggled to achieve great synth bass tones, either with keys or pedals… STRUGGLE NO MORE! If you decide to purchase one, I am confident that you’ll love it. Available everywhere you buy pedals. Full video breakdown on YouTube - link in bio.

The @jimdunlopusa MXR Rockman X100 is IT. I’ve been a huge fan of the Rockman sounds for years (and a user of them, mainly in the form of some kind of digital simulation) and the real thing is now it’s in a cool little stompbox. Enjoy some choice tones. #jimdunlop #80s #prsguitars #rockman #mxr

AVAILABLE NOW. Want intergalactic grooves and vintage analog-style vibes reminiscent of your favorite funk hits? The MXR Bass Synth is a must. Designed with low-end professor Ian Martin Allison, this pedal offers thunderous sub-octave, expressive envelope, and lush modulation effects with killer tracking and sustain—plus all the features you need to shape every detail of your tone. It’s all a cinch to dial in, but if you wanna get right down to it, Ian designed eight different presets inspired by classic synth tones. Whether you’re replicating pop hits in a cover band, holding down the low end at church, or touring the world, this pedal gives you instant synth bass magic. Get down on the one with the MXR Bass Synth. Check it out at the link in bio. • #mxr #basssynth #mxrbasssynth #basssynthpedal #ianmartinallison #builtinthebay #performanceiseverything #performanceiseverywhere #jimdunlop @ianmartinallison

How Frequencies Shape Your Distorted Guitar Tone 🎛️ 10-band version – Save this! 🤘 EQ lets you sculpt your tone with laser precision. Here’s what each MXR 10 Band slider does when boosting or scooping on a distorted guitar, using a boosted Peavey 6505+ and Marshall 4x12 v30 IR as a base: 🔹 **31.25 Hz (Sub-bass)** Boost for deep, heavy low-end rumble. Cut to remove unwanted boom and mud. Honestly, this slider in reality doesn’t affect tone that much. 🔹 **62.5 Hz (Bass)** Boost adds thickness and power. Cut tightens bass for clarity. You may wanna scoop to reduce rumble but you might take out body too, so careful. 🔹 **125 Hz (Low mids)** Boost for warmth and body. Cut to reduce boxiness and muddiness. 🔹 **250 Hz (Mid-low mids)** Boost thickens tone. Cut to clear mud and improve mix clarity. 🔹 **500 Hz (Mids)** Boost adds presence and grit-great for desert rock or classic tones. Cut for that scooped metal hollow sound. 🔹 **1 kHz (Midrange)** Boost brings bite and attack, making riffs and solos cut through (think Lamb of God). Cut softens harshness. 🔹 **2 kHz (Upper mids)** Boost enhances pick attack and clarity. Cut smooths out harshness. 🔹 **4 kHz (Presence)** Boost adds sparkle and definition. Cut tames shrillness. 🔹 **8 kHz (High presence)** Boost for air and shimmer. Cut for a darker, less bright tone. 🔹 **16 kHz (Air)** Boost adds polish and openness. Cut removes sheen for warmth. 💡 Want a tighter low end? Cut 62.5 & 250 Hz. 💡 Need more bite? Boost 1 kHz & 2 kHz. 💡 Classic scooped metal? Cut 500 Hz and 1 kHz mids. Hope you enjoy! So I recorded some demo stuff a while back using my little Randall Diavlo RD1H with a MXR 10 band Kerry King EQ in the effects loop and holy hell does it sound mean! I love the darker kind of voicing that this amp has.
