Nobody tells you what you need as a beginner nail tech so here’s a list of things I wish I did/had when I first started! - buy QUALITY products/equipment!!! This is a big one. When I first started I bought tons of tiny beetles gel polish and a cheap nail drill etc. Yes beetles is good but when those tiny bottles run out you can’t buy the individual color. It’s just not worth it. In the end I’ve spent more money upgrading my stuff rather than if I would have just bought it from the start. - Work another job. As a beginner you won’t be fully booked. “I can’t afford quality products yet” if you don’t have enough clients you’re not going to make money while waiting. Get a part time job and work it until you are getting to the point where you can fill your books! - don’t waste your money on colored acrylic or charms.. 90% of my clients get a basic set. Start with a nude and white acrylic and a few gems. You don’t need a whole drawer full. - my favorite brands are: melodysusie drill and dust collector, DNDgel polish, Mia secret clear acrylic, Kiara sky EMA monomer, young nails cover pink acrylic, PANA acrylic brushes 8 and drill bits, beetles nail art brushes! - I hope this helps y’all🩷🙌 #nailbeginner #nailtechnician #relatable
